Butiama Beach Lodge is located on the west coast of Mafia Island, right next to the main town of Kilindoni and outside the boundaries of the marine park. The lodge is the perfect beachfront retreat to relax and unwind, and our beach is the base to swim with whale sharks. With only 13 bungalows and a maximum occupancy of 32 people, you’ll have plenty of space and privacy. We are a family run business and strive to create a casual and relaxed atmosphere suitable for couples, friends or families. From the Mafia airstrip, it’s about 10 minutes by car.
