Location: At an altitude of over 2000m in the mountains of southwestern Uganda, the Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge is surrounded by dense rainforest. The lodge is located near the village of Nkuringo, at the southwestern gateway of the Bwindi National Park. From here you can enjoy spectacular views of the peaks of the Virunga Mountains and the valleys of the Great Rift Valley. The property is the perfect base to visit the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Facilities: The eight chalets of the Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge (including two family rooms) have a spacious bathroom, with running hot and cold water, shower, toilet, a lounge and a fantastic view over the valley from the private veranda. Attached to the main building is the dining room and terrace, a large lounge with high windows, light upholstered furniture and fireplace, as well as a bar. Works by Ugandan artists hang on the walls. Restaurant: The dishes are varied and prepared from fresh and regional products. Activities: Gorilla trekking, guided forest walks, visiting the surrounding villages, romantic picnics and private dinners in nature can be arranged on request.
