Location: Between the highlands of the Ngorongoro Crater and the East African Rift Valley lies the less frequently visited, very shallow Lake Eyasi. The romantically situated “Kisima Ngeda Lodge” is located on its shores, nestled between rocks and wild palm groves. Not far from the lodge lives the last hunter-gatherer people of Tanzania – the Hadzabe. The lodge is a wonderful place to experience the Africa that many dream of, away from mass tourism. Facilities: The ten comfortable tents are kept in traditional safari style. Each double room has a private bathroom with hot water, as well as a small terrace overlooking Lake Soda. Swimming is not possible in the lake, but it is possible in the newly acquired pool. Restaurant: There is also a restaurant in a central location. In the evening, a bonfire is lit under the acacia trees. Most of the food used comes from their own farm, which the German-Argentinian family Schmeling runs parallel to the lodge.
