Location: Mara West Camp is situated on the western edge of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, at Oloololo Gate and on the Transmara side of the park. Accommodation: Each of these secluded chalets is fully furnished with handcrafted cedar furniture, including two queen-size beds per tent. Upholstered sofa sets and personal desks offer relaxed guests the comforts of home. Luxurious bathrobes are provided and all towels, bed linen, pillows and comforters in the tented chalets are specially selected for their comfort and quality. In each room there is a lockable cedar wood chest in which all valuables can be safely stored. The evening sundowner is another special way to enjoy the veranda and watch the shadows creep across the Mara as the sun sets and the stars begin to appear. The Restaurant: Meals are served in the Kingfisher Dining Lodge and Simba Restaurant or on the large verandas outside the lodge and restaurant with sweeping views of the savannah surrounding the camp. With a fully equipped kitchen and professional chefs, Mara West Camp is able to set the table with simple but appetizing dishes in many variations. A wide range of flavors, including vegetarian dishes.
