Location: In the northwest of Tarangire National Park, about 9 km from the main gate, Maweninga Camp is located on a granite rock. Due to its elevated position, the camp offers its guests a unique view over the surrounding savannah, Lake Burunge, Lake Manyara and the Rift Valley. Equipment: The 16 tents are built on wooden terraces built on stilts in the middle of the granite rocks. In addition to locally made wooden furniture and a private terrace with seating, each unit has an ensuite bathroom with a flush toilet, sink and shower with 24 hours running hot water. Electricity is provided by solar energy and generator. A patio with a fire pit and an attached small bar area provide further opportunities to relax.
