Olpopongi is the only authentically built Maasai village, giving you a true insight into Maasai culture. On your tour you will be led through the Maasai Museum by a guide. He explains to you which groups/ages the Maasai are divided into, which norms and values apply, how the hierarchies work, which objects are used in traditional ceremonies and which clothing corresponds to the ideal of beauty. After drinking classic tea in an original Maasai hut, you will go on a bush walk and receive explanations about traditional remedies, simple hunting techniques and what everyday tasks have to be completed in the life of the Maasai.
