Location: Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is situated high on the saddle of a forested ridge, centrally located next to the Western Corridor and the Grumeti River. The round huts were developed to integrate fully into the landscape The traditional domed ’round huts’ are scattered around the grounds, which are shaded by acacia groves and irrigated by bubbling streams. At the edge of the ridge is the swimming pool, from which you can look out over the endless plains to the horizon. Facilities: All rooms at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge are spread over two floors (one upstairs and one downstairs), built of stone and housed in traditional thatched ‘rondavels’. Overlooking the plains, each room has its own private balcony, separate entrances, large bedroom, natural stone bathroom and ornately carved furniture.
