Location: The Rwenzori Massif, as the legendary Moon Mountains are called today, stretches deep into western Uganda, in the border area with the Congo. Here, in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains, in the middle of the rainforest and directly on the Mubuku River, lies the Equator Snow Lodge. Amenities and Facilities: The lodge consists of four stone bungalows that are comfortable and colorfully furnished. Each room has a terrace with a view of the greenery and the often cloudy mountains. Wooden furniture gives the décor a natural flair. Running water, shower and toilet are available, but no electricity. In the evening, guests can relax by the warming fireplace or end the day at the bar. Ample parking is available on the premises. The property is an ideal base for hiking in the Rwenzori Mountains and Rwenzori National Park. The Restaurant: The kitchen offers its guests varied, regional dishes prepared with locally grown ingredients and local spices.
