Location: The remote and rather unknown Katavi National Park is the third largest national park in Tanzania and is located in the west of the country. Katavi Wildlife Camp is located in the middle of the park, an excellent starting point for wildlife viewing and game drives into the pristine wilderness of the national park. The property is open from the beginning of June to the end of February. Facilities: Katavi Camp consists of 6 spacious Meru-style tents. Each tent was erected on a raised wooden platform and is protected from the midday sun by a thatched roof. The four double tents and two twin tents are each equipped with an en-suite bathroom and have their own veranda with hammock and chairs. From the property, guests have excellent views of the Katuma River and the Katisunga Plain. In the evening, there is the option to treat yourself to a cool drink by the campfire or to sit around the fire and exchange experiences with other guests. In the main two-storey area of Katavi Wildlife Camp, there is a lounge, a bar and the dining area where meals are taken. Restaurant: For lunch, a fresh buffet is served in the main dining room. Dinner is served to guests as a 3-course menu.
