[single-accommodation-stars]Speke Bay Lodge

Information

Location: Speke Bay Lodge is located on the southeastern shore of Lake Victoria in Tanzania, East Africa. It is 15 kilometres to the entrance to the Serengeti National Park, and the nearest major city is Mwanza, 125 kilometres to the south. Speke Bay is a part of Speke Gulf, named after the famous explorer John Hanning Speke. Speke found that Lake Victoria is the headwaters of the Nile. Facilities: All eight bungalows are located directly on the lakeshore. The roofs are covered with a thick layer of local reed grasses, which provides excellent thermal insulation. Custom-made furniture made of solid Mkola wood adds to the pleasantly homely yet elegant atmosphere. The sleeping area is equipped with a large lockable wardrobe and a desk. From the terrace you have a wonderful view of the lake.
